SCS District Office Barnes Bldg. Canopy Replacement

The basis of design shall be to demolish completely the existing canopy and storefront at the Barnes building only. Install a new storefront door and window system at the Barnes building. Provide complete construction documents for the design of a new canopy for installation at the Barnes building as well as the Coe building. The Coe building canopy will be classified as an alternate. The construction documents shall include demolition documents for the existing Coe building canopy. Design shall meet current applicable State and County adopted codes as well as address wind/ seismic criteria. Owner shall approve design before any execution of construction. Design should include any submissions for approval to authorities having jurisdiction. Design should include an overhead clearance at the access drive that has significant clearance (14'-0"+) for oversized vehicles such as buses, distribution trucks, delivery trucks, etc. Upon acceptance of the new design, the Barnes building canopy construction shall be the basis of design. The Coe building canopy will be considered an alternate. Design should include a water management system and exterior lighting. Designs should include modifications to the existing buildings for tie-in locations.

Pre-Bid Information

A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at SCS Headquarters, main auditorium at the scheduled time and location listed below. It is highly recommended the contractor’s interested in bidding to attend the pre-bid conference on Tuesday, October 13th, 2020 at 11:00 AM CST. SCS will be practicing “Social-Distancing” for all Pre-Bid meetings and gatherings during this time period in order to promote a safe and healthy working environment for both employees and perspective bidders. Bidders are encouraged to wear appropriate PPE gear during these meetings.

Bid Information

The Bid must be submitted no later than October 30, 2020 @ 11:00 AM CST. The right is reserved to reject any or all Bids. If substitutions are offered, give full particulars.
